Semak nama pelanggan

Affordable AML name screening for Malaysian businesses

Check a new customer’s name against sanctions lists and lists of politically exposed persons (PEPs), review any potential matches, and keep a dated PDF for your file. Nothing to install.

Illustration only, with sample names. Not a real screening result.

How it works

  1. Enter a name

Type the name of the person or company and the details the form asks for, or upload a spreadsheet of names. Each name uses one prepaid token.

  2. Review the potential matches

We check the name against our screening database and show any potential matches. Your staff record their decision and notes.

  3. Download your dated PDF

Create a dated PDF of the search and your review, and keep it with the customer file. The record is then locked.

Semak AML finds the potential matches. You decide what each one means, and your firm keeps the record.

Why Semak AML

Affordable

Why it costs less: Semak AML does one job, name screening, and charges per search. A firm that screens 20 names a month uses 20 tokens, not a package sized for a bank.

Built for Malaysia

We check names against the Malaysian Ministry of Home Affairs sanctions list, the UN Security Council consolidated list, Malaysian PEP rosters for Parliament and the Cabinet, and many other international sanctions and PEP lists.

Simple

Works in your web browser. Enter a name, review the potential matches, download your report. No software to install.

RM1 per name search

You buy tokens in advance: 1 token = 1 name search. New firms start with 10 free searches. If a search fails because of a system error, the token is returned automatically. Pricing for larger volumes is available on request.

What’s included

  • Bulk spreadsheet upload. Screen a whole list of names in one go. Each name uses one token.
  • Team accounts. Your firm’s admins invite staff and can deactivate and reactivate them. Each review is recorded under the name of the person who made it.
  • Individuals and companies. The form asks for the right details for each, such as date of birth and ID or passport number for an individual.
  • A locked record. Once you create the PDF, the results, decision and notes can no longer be changed.
  • An activity log. Sign-ins, searches, review decisions and report downloads are recorded, and entries cannot be edited or deleted.
  • CSV downloads for auditors. Your firm’s admins can download your screening history and activity log as CSV files.

Who it is for

If your firm is a reporting institution under Malaysia’s anti-money laundering law, you are expected to check new customers’ names as part of customer due diligence. Screening tools built for banks can cost more than a small firm needs. Semak AML is built for firms that screen a few names a month, not thousands.
